Nicole McCaffrey Dishes on Wylder!

Welcome, Nicole! So good to have you here today, chatting about Wylder.

If you were stranded in Wylder during a snowstorm after a train wreck what character would you like to spend time with?

While writing The Wylder County Social Club I definitely got the sense that Doc “Coyote” Sullivan, Aoife McCarthy (the cook/housekeeper at the social club) and Russ Holt had some fun together every so often drinking some of Aoife’s famous “tea” (heavily laced with brandy).  So I think I’d like to hang out with them, there probably would not be a dull moment!

Why?

Well Coyote and Russ are capable, handsome cowboys and Aoife was based a lot on my grandmother. I think we’d have a lot of fun, and if trouble came knocking, I’d trust Doc and Russ to know what to do, and I am pretty sure Aoife can take of herself, too.

If you could live in Wylder where would your house be and what would you be doing there?

I’d want to be near the center of town.  I can’t sew or shoe horses so I don’t think there would be many career opportunities for a writer with no marketable skills.  I guess I’d be in a house somewhere scribbling story ideas in a tablet, or maybe working in the mercantile. I am pretty bad at math, though, so Finn Wylder would probably not allow me near the money!

Christmas in the Wylder County Jail is Nicole's upcoming release in The Wylder West Series. She and Kim Turner co-authored this story and it's sure to be a hit with readers. It releases on December 13 but is available for pre-order now.

Let's take a peek at the story...

The blurb:

Adelaide Willowby is having a bad day. It’s a week before Christmas and she has just kicked out the love of her life. Her sister and her daughter are barely speaking to her, one of her best girls is getting married, and ownership of the Wylder County Social Club is in jeopardy. Now she has landed in jail—for murder.

Russ Holt has relied on alcohol to quiet the ghosts from his past for far too long. His latest bender has caused him to let down both Addie and his son, and he knows something has to change. When a stranger in town is found dead and Miss Adelaide is arrested for murder, Russ smells a rat.

Can he battle his demons, hunt down the real killer, and win back the woman he loves?

Thanks so much for stopping by today, Nicole! As always, it was great chatting with you!
